Most patients have molars in the very back of the upper jaw and in the very back of the lower jaw. These are called Third Molars or more commonly known as Wisdom Teeth. 

One of the most common characteristics of these wisdom teeth is that they may not erupt completely and may stay “impacted” or covered by bone.
