Wisdom Teeth

Most patients have molars in the very back of the upper jaw and in the very back of the lower jaw. These are called Third Molars or more commonly known as Wisdom Teeth.
Unfortunately, most people do not have the space to accommodate these molars. Sometimes, when these wisdom teeth are erupting, the tissues around these teeth becomes inflamed and bacteria make their way under the inflamed tissue causing excruciating discomfort and swelling.
Wisdom teeth can be removed one by one, one side at a time (two), or all four can be removed at once. If patient feels that he or she is too anxious or nervous, sedative agents can be used to make the extractions a pleasant experience.
